There are a couple ways to do it. The easy and the hard.
Easy way: Simply show up at the SOS with your license and your title of the car saying you own it. They will need this to show proof of the registration that they can print for you. I believe it's 5.00 bucks for a copy.
Hard way: Don't have the title? You will need to show them extra proof that the car is yours. It may vary from county to county.
