I need to get hotmail on my blackberry bold 9700!!!?

i set it all up and then i get the message saying you have successfully set up your email blah blah and a new icon has been placed on your home screen. but then theres a little loading sign that lasts forever and it doesnt show the actual icon on the message. but i figure ok. well maybe it worked. so i exit and look for the new icon but its not there???
