I'm an opera singer, soprano, so pretty much my entire background is in classical music. I'll need something classical or classical sounding to match my voice, since it would sound really weird to sing something like My Immortal or Wind Beneath my Wings in an operatic tone (not that I was considering them anyway).
She wasn't religious, at all, so they're trying to have a nonreligious ceremony. Unfortunately, that cuts out pretty much my entire repertoire. I called and asked if any kind of hymn would be appropriate, and they would prefer not, although if I can't find anything I might do something from a requiem.
Suggestions? The funeral is Thursday and they need to know soon so they can get the programs printed.
