Its not hooked up the a converter box, it never needed to be, I got it last year its a new one. My son ran off with the remote in the middle of him pushing the channel scan button, and now I have not had a TV or remote all day. There are no buttons on the TV other then volume on and off, and channel up and down. Is there a way to do a scan without having a remote. I have looked online for tips but have not found anything yet. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP Thanks 
He pushed the off button on the remote when he had it so it messed up the scan, he hid it somewhere and now I cant find it.
