I need tips to recording music, help?

Hey guys, so a while ago, I attempted to record a song. I recorded all the lyrics I needed, but I had trouble, and nothing turned out the way I wanted.

Okay, so my chorus doesn't flow like a chorus should, like I want to know, for a chorus, should I record bar by bar, then add them together, because it is singing. Instead of singing the whole 8 bar chorus in one recording, should I just do it by bar? Also, if not, how do I do it in one recording?

Now, my verses, I know it is certain, you must record a verse in one recording, no bar by bar crap. My flow is fine, but the thing is, the breaths. There is my breathe after every 2-4 bars, how can this not happen? I'm fine with a bit of white noise because the beat overplays that, but the breaths are loud, and the beat doesn't overplay all them. What do I do, how can I not breathe into the mic.

My intro and outro are fine, and I know how to edit a song. I just need help with the chorus & verses in the recording stage, so what's your guys advice?
