...parenting skills...? I live in an apartment building. After living here for a few months, a family moved in above me. It's been 3 months that they've been here now and every morning I wake up to the step dad screaming obscenities at his wife's 4 kids. Get the f back in your bed, shut up and eat your f'n breakfast. It is literally every single morning. The kids are only 5,4,4, and 3.I did talk to the wife and tell her that I didn't like the way he yells at these kids and is always stinking of booze. I think she was shocked that I brought it up, and kind of tried to make excuses for him. I don't know if he's physically abusive, but I feel so bad for these kids and the fact that they have to live like that...
The 2nd problem is that there is a little playground outside that all the kids play on in the evenings. These upstairs neighbors come down to grill and sit in their chairs and drink beer, while their children continually demand that I push them on the swings. I didn't mind at first because I feel so bad that they have such awful parents. However, I have 2 small children of my own (3 and 20 months) that I am outside to spend time with and I am also 17 weeks pregnant on top of it. I dont want to be mean to those kids, but my kids aren't getting my time and attention. It's to the point that I dont even want to take them outside anymore so I can avoid this. Can anyone give me some suggestions on how to handle this?
