I am applying for the Operational Safety Internship position at Southwest Airline for summer 2009. I am a student at Ohio State University pursuing Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. I expect to graduate with specialization in Aviation Management in January 2010.
I am uniquely qualified for this position. As an immigrant from Taiwan, I understand the differences in various cultures. I have developed strong adaptability and responsibility from the unique immigration experience. I learned the way to communicate with people from different cultural backgrounds. It also made me to think creatively and innovatively from others. I am a fast learner and hard worker, because I had to learn everything when I first came to the U.S. I showed my strong leadership in the Taiwanese Student Association but at same time I am an excellent team worker. It allows me to developed strong communication skill and organizational skill. I was selected to be the pledge secretary of my fraternity, and board member of the spring conference. I was able to use my skills to execute various challenge tasks. Lastly, I am taking the flight training through The Ohio State University flight school. I am learning to make critical decision from the training, and I would like to have the opportunity to develop more skills from the opportunity offered.
I believe I have met all the qualifications and showed enthusiasm that you seek. This position allows me to use the skills and education that I learned from school. I seek the opportunity to gain more experience and learn more about airline operation. I hope to have an interview opportunity to show what an excellent competitive candidate I am.
