I need some serious help on this poem?

I am trying to write my girlfriend a poem for christmas. I done bought her something but i want to give her something personal as well. Im only 16 so i don't want it to be all about love so if somebody could help me out there it would be amazing if you have any questions just ask me

Christmas is among us and my wallet is empty,
I tried to get you something nice, but the stores were empty,
So here I am, with something I found, it's an empty box with a Christmas card inside.

Just speak from your heart- Poems dont always have to rhyme! Try a Haiku poem or even just big words thrown together- sounds great and if its meaningful you have nothing to worry about
