I was told that the quality of the picture will be better if it has a good lens. I want to get the Canon Powershot A590 IS since it takes pretty good pictures. But, I have been wondering... Is it the megapixels or is it the lens? Both maybe?

Is that a good enough camera? I want a good one that isn't too expensive, because we're all low on cash. It's not for professional photography either, but good enough to where I can take nice photos.

I'm trying to concentrate a lot on eyeballs. I would love a camera that can take good eye shots and eyelashes.

Any help?

to be a proper photographer you need a megapixel definitely over 8 megapixels

the lens has nothing to do with it as long as it is clean and un scratched you are good to go xx

mega pixels definitely have something to do with it. Just make sure that you don't get a crappy lens.

it would be both. I have a camera that I can adjust from 1 to 5 mega pixels, and 5 definitely makes clearer shots.

It's the lens. Mega pixels make a difference in the size photo you want. If you wanted a poster size shot, you'll want more mega pixels.

It's both the megapixels and the lense.

Yeah, that's a good camera. :)

Umm, I like the Canon A590IS
It's 150.00 at best buy.
