I need some opinions about the poem "This is Just to Say" by William Carlos

Williams. Please answer! thanks.? Do you think that the speaker in "This is Just to Say" is sorry about what he did? Why do you feel that way?

here is the poem:

This is Just to Say

I have eaten
the plums
that were in
the icebox

and which
you were probably
saving
for breakfast

Forgive me
they were delicious
so sweet
and so cold
