I'm doing a project on preserving innocence.
to summarise what i've done so far:
I was looking at serial killers such as ed gein and focusing a lot on what and why they did what they did
they tend to see something beautiful that they become obsessed with and want to keep for themselves, in a sense they want to capture it.
so i was looking at preserving innocence
my tutors suggest i should go to the extreme and create body parts and show them as part of a museum thing like put them in a glass case. I didnt want it too be so literal so i'm making casts of dolls body parts out of latex.
a doll is very innocent so in a way im taking that innocence and making it something disturbing and preserving it. i like the idea of putting these parts in ice cube and photograhing it with light behind.
Im continuing with this idea but i want to do a visual interpretaion of preserving innocence but i want it to be less literal and perhaps a little less creepy without it going to off topic of far fetched.
any ideas?
i appreciate your help
