I need some HTML Codes?

I need to know some HTML codes for a web profile
How do I get them to work?
and are these correct

what does these ones do?

<hr>
<i>
I just need ones to change the size, colour, font of the text
then centre, bold, italic or underline it
Also how do I use mutipule codes at once such as one line of text in bold or in freestyle mt at size 12 in colour red
