There are these power lines in my area that lead back deep into the wilderness. I went biking about 20 miles in with a friend and decided that next time we go we should have the proper equipment. A lot of the areas we went through were flooded, and he almost stepped on a water moccasin which could have been very deadly for him especially since he was wearing shorts, and it would have taken us hours to get to the nearest hospital. So what kind of equipment/clothes should we buy for this type of thing? I wanna make sure my clothing gives me some protection against poison ivy, snake bites, and whatever else might be out there. What kind of boots and pants should I buy. I need something comfortable, last time I wore long pants but it was raining while we were biking and when they got wet they really weighed me down. We also bike through this place at night so what kind of flashlights do you suggest. It's just the two of us out there miles form any civilization so we have to rely on each other if anything goes wrong. Thanks in advance!
