I'm only in tenth grade, but I love art and photography.
I'm trying to get photo 1 but i cant take it until I'm a senior.
I've been in newspaper and yearbook since last year so hopefully that helps out when it comes to schools looking at me. I'll be editor of yearbook when I'm a senior because I've been given the job.. but that's still 2 years away.
I know I either want to be a photo journalist, work for a magazine and write about current events, fashion shows or go on band tours..
but I have no idea where to start other than to start a portfolio..
which right now i have only taken digital pictures and want to take some film ones. I have no idea what a portfolio should even look like and which photography and art colleges i should be looking into applying for.
Can someone walk me through some steps, or at least give me ideas of how i can get experience outside of just my high school??
