My husband works for his parents on their farm. He receives a salary and a annual bonus equivalent of a months salary.
There is times that we urgently need money and have to borrow from my in laws.
This is how it works. My husband gets his salary paid into his account every month. He has a few cows that brings us in about the half the amount of his salary a month. However, we never really know how much it is because my mother in law takes that money to deduct from our dept and then we usually receive a certain amount after she has done that.
The problem is that we never exactly know how much he actually received and how much was deducted on our dept. Also, we never take his bonus at the same time. We try to save it for as long as possible, in case we don't use it we can pay that off of our dept as well.
What really bothers me is that I have asked my mother in law several times to specifically write out a full dept report and what happens to our bonus and other cash every month. However, she just ignores my request and simply think it is none of my business!
We have another baby on the way and need to plan ahead but with the money we receive now we can just manage to survive every month. And without knowing what we still owe and what are owed to us, we really are in the dark about our finances.
Please help and give some advice.
