I need to know if it's any good to begin with...even though I'm only going to go over it very roughly...
basically, it's a love story between a servant girl in pakistan and her master's nephew who is over from london to attend one of his daughter's wedding. he himself is to marry his uncle's youngest daughter, even though he doesn't want to because she's a rich, spoiled girl and completely opposite to the simple girl he falls in love with. their affair is very secret. what happens is that fate eventually pulls them apart as they sleep together and the servant becomes pregnant with his child. the uncle eventually forgives his nephew because 1) it will break his daughters heart if she ever knew and 2)since he and his brother are very good business partners, he cannot severe ties and call off the wedding to his daughter. he immediately gets the boy and his daughter under a marriage contract, and threatens the servant that if she doesnt agree to marry a man of his choosing soon and also pretend that the child belongs to the person she marries, then he will tell her parents. the servant agrees and gets married to an old man in a unknown village, only when she tells him she's about to have his child he doesnt believe her b/c he's old and has been sterile for a very long time. the man divorces her and the servant is again left poor and homeless. the boy is back in london also not happy... what i need help with is, in the end do i somehow bring them back together, still in love as before...or does the girl seek revenge somehow for why the boy never stood up for her and his child, and for one reason or another the boy realizes his mistakes and comes back for her?
