While I was away for Xmas the house or somewhere close by was struck by lightning. Before leaving on holidays I had turned off all power to the computer and I have surge protectors for the tower & the monitor. But the USB connected ADSL modem wasn't surge protected & neither was the phone line. I think the surge came through the phone line.
Well now NO USB port works, not the 4 USB ports on the back of the tower, not the 2 on the front & the 4 ports on the PCI card aren't working either.
Does anyone out there have any idea how I can fix this problem?
The rest of the computer is working fine. I just can't access any device connected via a USB port.
