I need some help figuring out whats wrong with my 1989 Toyota Corolla

Wagon.. It doesn't have the pickup...? My car used to smoke(burn oil) but now it does not burn oil... BUT it does not want to get up and go.. so to speak. And it is going through gas like crazy. No giddy-up, but once i get to about 35-40, it starts to shake a bit... any more info I have it.. oh, and there is oil getting into the carb.
