just came into some money about ($16,000). I would like to invest some of it but I'm not sure what would be a good choice. I plan to put some in my regular savings account to be safe. I keep hearing about this compound interest but I can't seem to find any accounts that have it. The people at the bank were so not helpful. I don't mind gambling with a little to see if it works out but I don't want to lose everything. I also found an online account at smartypig.com, that has an APY of 3.5%. Is that good? Any advice of what or how to do this would be helpful.
