I have a Sanyo dvd/vcr combo. Normally when I put a dvd in it and click close with the remote, the window on front of the unit will say Read. My guess is that it is reading the dvd. All of a sudden, the remote will not turn the unit on. I changed the batteries twice, and it still doesn't work. I can turn the unit on manually and put a dvd in it. When I click play, it still doesn't say Read like it use to. Anyway, when I click play on the unit itself, the movie will start, but the dvd will only play about two minutes and stop. Then it starts over again, and does the same thing. I recently auto tuned the dvd/vcr so that it would find all the channels that I get with cable. I did this with the remote that came with the unit, and that was successful. That's when everything started as I described above. Before that, I only used that remote for turning the unit on or off when watching a movie. Does anyone have an idea as to what is wrong? If it helps, it is a Sanyo-DVW-6100 DVD/VCR combo. The serial number is 23919201B. I can't find any info about my problem online. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
