I need some current events which oddly I can't seem to find as easily as I hoped. :\?

Can anyone help me find 3 current events I need for US History? Preferably some that could affect everyday life. (IE. This electric car will help out the gas shortage due to it's lack of gas.) They have to be no older then about 2 or 3 weeks.
 
Please get a newspaper and there will be tons of current events just on the front page.

We're going through a major crisis now.....it's very easy to find just 3 things.

1) "homegrown terrorism" is a drive-by-media scam
2) emails promising British pounds sent to americans is a scam
3) akmenijad is not the u.s.a. friend
