I need some advice on the military and marriage?

I am a 19 yr old male that happens to be married. When we first got married it was understood that I was going to go into the military to serve my country and to secure a better future. Unfortunately it has been a year since then and my wife and i have fought over this issue ever since. I would still like to go but she does not wish me to the past couple of times we have fought about this she has told me to do what i want to do but while I want to go I don't want her to be furious with me for doing what I believe to be right. Am I being a selfish jerk or should I go in and do what I believe is right. Maybe we got married to young any help would be greatly appreciated.
 
Nothing makes me more angry than having the wife stay at home and look after kids while the dad serves in the military. And only gets to see them only a few times a year. I think you should find a base close to home so you can compromise. Shes gonna be there for you forever will the military wont. But if its really what you want to do then go and end up one of those guys were there children lie and say they dont have a dad, because its not like your ever there.
This could be one outcome
 
She's just afraid that you might get killed. She's doing ok to worry about you but you are also not being selfish because your service helps more than one person. Tell her that.
 
Dump the broad...don't get her pregnut. Go live your dreams and never marry again until you're 40
 
She loves you and doesn't want you to die. To me, it's best if you stay with her. Not leave her in agony. Besides, the war now is so stupid there's no fucking point in being in it anymore. Just live a long, healthy life.
Being in war isn't worth it if you don't get anything out of it. Well, besides the pay but still. My grandpa was in the korean and vietnam war and he gets horrid flashbacks that emotionally tramatized him. It's been about 40 years since he's fought, and he still gets these images.. but he became posted on the Hall of Fame. However, he has constant cancers because of the disease he has; aging orange.
He also suffered many painful injuries :( Many many surgeries and scarring too.
