I need my left arm to be stronger!?

I broke my left humorous right above me elbow 4 years ago. I have a metal plate in it. Ever since then, my left arm has been smaller (in the tricep region). Any exercises involving extension or pressing (Bench press, DB flies, front/lat raises, etc.) causes the muscle and nerves around my elbow to hurt/pinch. Also, whenever I do exercises like bench press, shoulder press, etc., my left arm is always weaker and lags behind. It's very frustrating. Any ideas on how I can fix this problem? Thanks!!
