I own a 1970 plymouth valiant 6cyl 3.7L. The car has been running pretty good until recently it has not been starting up very good, so i replaced the alternator and battery. Not only is the car still nearly impossible to start, there is oil leaking off the side of the block. If the car does start it wont continue running. I checked my spark plugs and they seem fine. What should i do?

-Spark plugs have been replaced within a year.
-Air filter is fine
-Entire exhaust just replaced
-Oil level was ok until recently, now its missing a quart
-Fuel gauge doesnt work
-The distibuter cap is new, and the spark plug wires
-Fuses Good.
-Most the time the engine doesnt turn over unless the battery has been on a charger for 20 mins
