happened back in march and he contacted? He contacted me back in May after getting out of jail on a diffrent charge. We go to court November 5th. He and I have rebuilt our friendship since he called me and I have seen him (there was no protective order issued) because I live in KS and the incident happened in Louisiana where he lives and where I will be going to court. He has charges of battery and aggrivated assult wich he told me he informed me of things I thought my DA should have told me about like his arrainments and such. When he called me the first time after the assult he told me I was the only friend he had left and I felt a need to make sure he was ok and doing good I felt like the only one there for him and was not willing to turn my back on him though I was told to and he was told to stay away from me also. He took medication on that day and he says he doesn't recall what he did to me. *LIE* He held a knife to his neck why isn't he dead he threatened to drown me he acted like everything was fine I was scared when a neighbor knocked on the door he will not be going to court but he seen his actions when we were out of the complex he made an excuse as to why he was attacking me then when we were beside 2 other people he said I came at him to wich is a lie the witnesses seen me trying to maintain some kind of peace and get away from him in the end he had a knife in his pocked held to my side trying to get me to leave with him I refused to move. The police came and finally got him away from me and I informed them he had a knife in his pocket and then the next day in jail he acts like he didn't know what he did. ANyways, my question is have I lost my credibility and will he not be charged for what he did to me because we have talked to eachother and seen eachother again?
I need legal advice not judgments! I am a victim of domestic abuse it
