I need information

I'm about to get nextel service. I had cingular under a friend and he ****ed up his bill. meanwhile i bought a ngage. I love that phone. I need to know if i could use it with nextel service. Obviously I would not be able to use Direct conect. I've heard that the cell phone part of the hand set uses gsm. Is this at all fesible. Or did i fall off the rocker? I hope the sacrifice of my xbox wasn't in vein. By the way my n-gage is unlocked. So please wise elders guide me   :ah:

Sorry to burst your bubble, but NEXTEL's US system is iDEN. GSM is only offered via various "International Partners" on NEXTEL's billing so long as you're out of the country and using a NEXTEL phone SIM card (might be hackable!?!?). As long as you're in the US, you're going to have to connect via iDEN. That means, if it doesn't say MOTOROLA on the front and have a model number that starts with an "i", you're SOL. If you want to play games, stay with Cingular (guess in this case, it meant billing, HA! HA! HA!) If you want to be serious and business-minded, go with NEXTEL. NEXTEL offers games on its service too, but not to the scale that Stinkular does.

alright mister smarty pants im sorry i ofended you i dont play downloaded games the ngage has preformatted memory cards for games so games are not the problem! I was told that iden was just for direct conect and that the part where you make regular cell phone calls with was gsm. But apperantly you are the information master general "my bad" :p
