My dad is having decompressive laminectomy L2-3 L3-4 with stabilization in a week.Has anybody here have had this surgery and has it helped and what was the recovery time?
By stabilization, I'm assuming you mean a fusion, right? I've had both a laminectomy with and without fusion. Recovery time for a fusion is usually 6 - 12 months, and about 8 weeks for just a laminectomy.
