I need info on arkansas ammunition laws?

I mainly need to know if it is legal to buy 22 long rifle shells for a rifle if under 21 years of age? I know as of last year you only had to be 18 to buy them for a rifle, so I need a answer and a source where I can find the info on ammunition laws. cuz I went to the store to buy a box of shells for my 22 rifle and was not allowed to cuz I am only 20 years old, and I dont think that is corect, so I want to know if that has changed
