daughter being in school.? I currently work 2:30pm-10:30pm and I've been with this company, working the same shift for 4 and a half years. My daughter is currently 6 yrs old and has started "real school" and recently an open first shift position has become available....this is what I've wrote thus far.....
To Whom It May Concern:
I am writing you to request a change in my shift schedule. I currently work a rotating schedule throughout the week evening shift from 2:30pm-10:30pm.
Due to recent changes in my daughter's school schedule, I would like to switch my evening shift to the morning shift from 6:30am-2:30pm.
I understand the work demands of an ILC and the importance of having an adequate amount of staff in the houses at all times. In keeping with the company's needs in mind, I would like to take on the day shift so that I'm able to continue my motherly duties at home.
I would love to be able to have a formal discussion with you about my request and answer any questions you may have.
