im terrible at writting poems and my assigment is to write a poem using concrete and abstract details. I need 35 lines! and i have to include something about relasionships and what i think of america and end it with a memorable quote conclusion.
this is what i have so far...
The instructor said,
Go home and write
a page tonight.
And let that page come out for you—
Then, it will be true.
Sixteen springs have past me by
Looking back at the places I lived, time does fly.
I was born in Bombay
but at the age of eight I moved away.
Each year school gets harder and harder
but I know each day I get smarter.
Every time I have to move to a new place
I take it in with a new embrace.
Many people pass by each day
streets and cars have so much to say.
It’s not easy in a new place, meeting new people,
with people and friends to embrace.
What is true? I am still unaware
There are many things still to prepare.
I like to play tennis and I like to swim
Sometimes we race in the pool, just to see who wins.
I think of the future, I think of the past
for what I can be and for what I couldn’t make last.
Relationships are sufficient
if agreed to make commitments
Relationships are worthless
if you can’t make them last.
I know who I am
Everything I like makes me ME and
I will always be me.
