I have a T mobile phone that is mine, but is in my moms name because when we purchased it I was only 17. When we started the phone plan we asked them if we could switch the name to mine when I turned 18 and they said yes. I just turned 18 on March 10th, and so we called T mobile to switch and they said they couldn't because my credit needs to be as high or higher than the current account holder. Which since I just turned 18 my credit isn't as high as my moms. But they said I could start my own account and just cancel the one in my moms name. So I have three questions.
1. Since the account in my moms name is a "Even More Plus Plan" do we have to pay to cancel the account? 2. If I start an account in my name can it be a Even More Plus Plan or does it have to be a contract plan because of my new credit? 3. Can I make my new number the same as the old number from my moms account after we cancel it?
