I have a 2000 Honda Civic Ex. A week ago it cut off on me in traffic as if I had ran out of gas. It would not start. After numerous attempts to get it to start, it finally did. I drove to the store and put gas in. After leaving the store and driving to the stop light, I proceeded to accelerate and the car cut off. It finally started after several tries and I got it home. It was towed to a mechanic and they stated the radiator had a leak and needed to be changed. They also said my engine overheated and the wires needed to be replaced. After having the radiator, spark plugs and wires replaced, the car ran fine over the next three days. On day four I went to leave for work and the car would not start. Later on that same day, went outside to start the car and it started fine. Drove it around for a couple of hours and came home. When I got up the next morning I had no doubt in my mind that the car would not start. So I got in and it wouldn't START. The car was towed to the same mechanic. When they finally got to my car that day, they stated the car started for them. They said they tried all day long to see if the car would fail, but it never did. I have know idea what could be wrong with the car. Any suggestions?
@ Jeff, yes it is cranking over, it just won't start. It starts when it wants to start. They have it running at the shop now, but cannot pin point the problem, and it's starting to make me angry
