i need help with my ford radio in a 2004 f150.?

i got a new radio for my birthday. i unhooked my stock radio. there was a problem with the new one and its taking a while to get it all sorted out so i hooked my old stock ford radio but it wont work. i hooked all the wires up right. i know that. i can hit the clock button and the clock will come on but it will go off.
