I NEED HELP WITH MY CAR STEREO!?

I bought a 1990 camaro and it had no speakers in the back so i bout two 6-9s and now i have to run speaker wire back to them. where do i run it? down the middle, the side, the roof? where do i hook the speaker wire up to the stereo head unit. the head unit just has a bunch of colored wires.
