i need help with mini bike?

ok so my parents are not letting me get a mini bike because they think
1 its to dangerous
2 it is illegal to ride but my friend rides his behind my house in the parking lot
3 they think its a waste of money since ill want a car soon
so i need some suggestions on how to cinvince them to let me buy it. plz help
