I need help with Microsoft word on my Mac book...?

So I was typing a document last night on my computer and i didn't save the document and I just put my computer to sleep. Then my dad comes and turns off my computer without my permission and didn't save my document. When I turned on my computer today and opened Word the document wasn't recovered, and I need to know how to recover it, because it's a very important document!!!!!! PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!
