12). Gentle Ben is a morgan horse at a Colorado Ranch. Over the past 8 weeks, a veterinarian took the following glucose readings from this horse (in mg/100 ml)

93 88 82 105 99 110 84 89

the sample mean is xbar = 93.8. Let x be a random variable representing glucose readings taken from the horse. we may assume that x has a normal distribution, with μ = 85 mg/100ml and σ = 12.5. use α = 0.05.
use the hypothesis testing to check if this sample data indicates that gentle ben has an overall average glucose level higher than 85? use α = 0.05.

not sure what to do with this problem, its scary.

Go to the web site in the reference below, go to the bottom of the page.

Will this answer your question? Put in 93.8 for mean. For standard deviation, put in 4.41942 (i.e., 12.5/sqrt(8)). Put .05 for shaded area. Click "Outside" and see 85.1381. Does that tell you that 93.8 causes you to reject the hypothesis that the horse has an average of 85?
