I need help with competency / behavioral interviews. I had one last week and I prepared for 3 hours (!) the night before - using the STAR method for every question i could think they might ask. I went over and over the job description to try and guess what they might ask. It was a phone interview, so i had my notes with me BUT they did not ask ONE question that i prepared! I babbled like an idiot and then it was done. humiliating. Now i have another one this Friday. How the hell do I do this? I can't answer competency questions without preparing answers. I am TERRIFIED. What can i do? Please help... I don't think in the structured way that they want me to answer.
