I need help setting up a HTML website with Apache.?

I've forwarded port 80, I installed the software, I put my HTML files in the htdocs folder, I don't have IIS running, and I can view my site when I do http://localhost/ in the URL bar, but still, I cannot view my website with the URL I assigned in Apache, and the website can't be viewed on the internet. What am I missing here?
