My friends dog got his tail(about 3 inches from the tip) closed in a door and it split the skin open(about an inch wide). We put antibacterial ointment on it and wrapped it up with gauze, but the dog started to chew on it. We have cleaned and rewrapped it several times but the wound continues to bleed. She doesn't have enough money to take her dog to the vet to get stitches, so she wants to know what she can do to help the wound heal. Thank you for any advice you can give!
