I need to find out the setting and them of these two poems. I'm bad at poems, so I can't find out. :3

POEM 1:
"We Wear The Mask"
We wear the mask that grins and lies,
It hides our cheeks and shades our eyes,—
This debt we pay to human guile;
With torn and bleeding hearts we smile,
And mouth with myriad subtleties.

Why should the world be over-wise,
In counting all our tears and sighs?
Nay, let them only see us, while
We wear the mask.

We smile, but, O great Christ, our cries
To thee from tortured souls arise.
We sing, but oh the clay is vile
Beneath our feet, and long the mile;
But let the world dream otherwise,
We wear the mask!

I think POEM 1 means something about hiding feelings. Like you smile and act happy, yet, inside your hurting badly.

Okay, POEM 2:

"I Cannot Myself"

To come to this country,
my body must assemble itself

into photographs and signatures.
Among them they will search for me.

I must leave behind all uncertainties.
I cannot myself be a question.

This poem, I don't really know.. o.O
