This is a '98 Dodge Neon by the way
Ok, my neon has decided to go insane. I don't know a lot about cars, so I'm going to explain it the best I know how.
The gear shift is inbetween the two front seats and its one where you have to push the button i and it pullls straight down. It goes "park, reverse, neutral, drive" ect.
Well, when I parked it today, it went into park I cut it off, and got out and left it alone for a little bit. I didn't notice anything odd.
When I came back and put my key in it and started it up, it started fine, like it always does, but I went to put it in reverse and I noticed the button on the shifter (or watever) was already pushed it, and I tried pulling it down, and it won't go anywhere, It's COMPLETELY stuck.
So, I tried to turn the car off, turned the key and went to pull it out...the car turned off....but the key won't come up. So I don't know what it's doing.
Can anyone give me any insight on how to fix it, please?
