I am trying to find a book that I read probably around 1995. I was in the 4th or 5th grade, so that would be the comprehension level, and it was about a young girl who was abducted by Indians. Her family was murdered (heavy for that grade level, I know) but her mother and brother were spared because they happened to be in town. I cannot remember her "white" name, but her "Indian" name was Raven. I remember quite a few details about the book, such as the fact that she was very mad, sad, hurt, etc. about the situation and often refused to do what was asked of her. She was made to boil deer brains as punishment, and had to go through an initiation of sorts being hit with sticks and stones. Any information would be greatly appreciated..
