I am taking an intro to photography course this upcoming semester, and who knows, a new hobby might come out of it or more! But anyway, I know absolutely NOTHING about cameras. At all, except digital cameras, and all i know is how to work them, haha! So, I was wondering if any of you experts on the subject of cameras could help me out with learning about them. Any links to any websites or maybe even books? Or maybe even a huge lesson from one of you all, haha.
The topics that come to mind are for example, how to work one ( a summary), maybe some photography jargon?, like what certain things mean for example I have no idea what shutter speed is or why it matters, or even what the 50 mm means or is for.....
Another topic is the subject of how to care for a camera, if if any of you all could help me out TREMENDOUSLY, a link to somewhere on how to fix manual cameras, preferably vintage.
See I have my eyes on one now, that i'm thinking of getting, because i'm into vintage stuff and I figure I'll get this camera since it's neat and will probably do for the class.
Heres the camera I want, you have to enter it in ebay cause the link is WAY too long, just search this exact description: VINTAGE KODAK RETINA IIa WITH 50MM F2 RETINA-XENON LENS
They asked for a 35 mm minimum, i'm guessing 50mm will do? lol I have no idea still, but i'm just going by the numbers.
However if any of you could help me out with telling me if I'm making a mistake by going with a vintage camera that would be helpful as well.

Thank you alls!
