I Need Help for Sidekick slide?

Well i just got a side kick slide yesterday is prepaid and all it has internet and music and what a normal slide would have it is also my very first phone and it was supposedly filled with minutes yesterday and i was on aim and on the internet and today i turned it on and said i ran out of minutes and i don't know how that is possible if it had 200 minutes on it can someone explain this phone to me please and if i would be charged to go on aim listen to music or such ? i would also want to know how to add ring tones
