I need help finding an old video game.?

Its for the ps1 i belive, its about a purple haired ninja running around and he could steal powers from his enemys. like steal the power of gun to shoot down a bridge. i think it started with the letter M but im not too sure. So if you know what this game is or have any idea's please let me know. ty
