I need help finding a Sci Fi book from the 80's?

The only things I can remember about it were that the aliens looked like humans except they had clawed hands, that the aliens were going to invade or something, and that the protagonist boy ended up fighting with an alien girl while he was trying to capture her or something like that.

please any help would be appreciated, its driving me bonkers!
