i need help finding a gameboy game?

well i had this badass game i thought was just called monsters. it was an rpg and you fought monsters and can capture them to fight with you. it was an rpg. well one day i traded it in at eb games for this gay game that i hated and i never heard of that game again. im not sure if it was even a gameboy color or original but it was around that era. any help?
 
perhaps you could join romulation.com and it might be on there then you can have it for free and try googling it
