was an israeli author? When i was about 13 my brother took a book out the library, i started reading it after my brother read it but i never managed to finish reading it because it was due back and we were already late.
i cant remember the name of the book and but i think i remember the cover, if i can recall it had a picture of a castle or a fort in the background and a picture of the main character.
the book was translated to Hebrew from English. and i have no idea who the author was or when it was published (let be honest a 13 year old doesn't really care about this stuff)
from what i remember reading the book was about a kid whose name i cant remember (i think the title of the book include the main character's name or surname)
this kid was either a lord or he was a friend of the lord's son or he was a cousin or he might have worked for a lord (this is kind of vague) i remember there was an incident and this kid was found to have some magical power and he was sent to a special school, even though he was sent there as a promising young student he didnt seem to be able to progress much and after 3 years at this school he stayed at the same level (or class details about this are a more than a little vague) i can recall him having a friend who wasnt a magician and i think he worked at a pub or something like that but he didnt work for money he worked for lodging and food but i might be mistaken.
im sorry i cant give any more information, i asked my brother but he dosent seem to remember reading the book at all.
