I need help designing or planning an effective exercise routine?

Hey there,

I played hockey up until midget, which is the last level before juniors which requires tons of commitment, and with university and work I just don't have the time anymore. Sports were the source of my exercise, and it kept me fit throughout high school without the need for extra exercise, but now that I don't play anymore I need help planning an effective daily exercise routine. Preferably without having to go to a gym. I had in mind pushups, situps, running, we also have an elliptical in the house. I was wondering what is the most effective way to use these things at my disposal. So how many reps of pushups/situps at time? How often? Things like this, and any extra advice anyone has to offer. Thanks for your time!
